Our family were lucky enough to undertake the process of building our first, and what we hope to be our forever home, on the Mornington Peninsula during 2013.

After finalising our plans with the architect  (Graham Jones Design) we began a long search for a builder we could entrust to not only create our individual home, but also provide an overall positive experience.

After a few false starts we then, thankfully, contacted Toby Bennetton.  From the first phone call and subsequent meeting we found that Toby provided a professional, warm and personalised service.

Toby’s passion for building homes was evident from early on in the process.  He treated the construction and design choices as if he was building his own home.   Toby took the time to learn about our family, routines and lifestyle before providing us personalised advice.  His experience and attention to detail helped us achieve the finishes that we desired while not compromising functionality or our budget.

Our family composition often sees my husband working away from home for extended periods.  I was initially concerned the building process would become overwhelming, especially as I also work full time and was studying.  At every stage Toby coordinated processes to ensure that I felt informed, involved and confident.  He met with us at times that suited our schedule, often outside of normal working hours.

Many of the finishes and fixtures used throughout our home were chosen with Toby’s assistance.  His obvious eye for detail resulted in a number of design alterations that have greatly enhanced the overall outcome of our home.

When engaging Bennetton Construction and Design you are not only   contracting Toby, but also his entire team of regular tradesmen.   At every stage of the process the entire team were professional, courteous and friendly.  This was reinforced to us through comments made by our now neighbours who witnessed our build first hand.

Our relationship with Toby and his team has continued well after the construction process finished and we have long settled into our home.

We recently engaged the services of Bennetton Construction & Design Pty Ltd to construct a building at our home on Kent Farm on the Mornington Peninsula. The building involved was a replacement for a barn/garage with workshop & studio that had existed for many years but was unfortunately destroyed by fire.

The project was ambitious and designed to produce a high quality leisure centre as well as the more practical functional office, storage, workshop and garage areas. It as extremely important that the building blend into the Kent Farm environment and particularly blend in with the other buildings, viz. the main house and the guest cottage.

Toby Bennetton and his two main assistants performed their tasks to the highest level of excellence. The quality of their work was first-class; their capacity to organize sub-contractors was impressive, as was their commitment to communicate with us on a regular and open basis. This open and frequent style of communication enabled us to progress the project with a minium of disruption and delays, and to handle changes & alterations in a timely and cost effective manner. In fact many of their suggestions involved us cost savings.

The project was completed on time and within budget. Toby and his crew were obliging and always willing to engage in extra work.

It was a pleasur to deal with Bennetton Construction in all regards and we would have no hesitation in recommending them to any potential clients.

Toby took on the task of multiple building rectification works from another builder, on our home. We pretty much required every trade to rectify the original building issues. Toby  from the onset was courteous and prompt. His quotes were fast and they were very reasonable.

Once the building work commenced, Toby and his crew were always arrived on time, or even earlier. They were always courteous and friendly and worked around my needs with a newborn. Their pride in their work was clearly evident. Toby kept in touch and always gave me updates on how the work was progressing. His attention to detail was admirable.

Toby was fantastic when it came to my phone calls, answering me immediately or calling me back soon after, even after hours. At one stage with unforeseen high winds overnight, he and his crew came over at my request to deconstruct scaffolding.

Our house is finally fixed and what a difference it has made! We have owned and built 4 homes in the last 18 years and without a doubt, this was the best experience we have had in all that time. Thank you Toby for your great work and for restoring my faith in builders!

In 2010 we contracted Bennetton Construction and Design Pty Ltd to carry out major renovations on our property at Somers.

Toby Bennetton and his staff carried out the renovations during the second half of 2010.

The work was carried out to the highest professional standards in an efficient manner with great attention to detail.
